Located in : 41 Cooper Square, 901
Instructor: Julia Hickey

Regular Student: $480.00

Everyone can learn to draw. The stereotype that artists must possess
special gifts has unfortunately discouraged many people from drawing.
This course assumes no previous training or skill. A series of exercises
will sequentially increase spatial perception and introduce basic
techniques to make accurate observational drawings. Students can expect
to work individually within a friendly and relaxed group setting with
plenty of instructor guidance, as well as informal critiques. By the
end, you will be able to produce a fully shaded self-portrait and have
the foundational skills to draw from a live nude model. This course is
an excellent introduction for newcomers to visual art, and a refresher
for those who are feeling rusty.
