Typography is an essential aspect of graphic communication, but the
principles involved in doing so elegantly can sometimes seem mystifying.
Through demonstrations, critiques and hands-on projects this course
will help you make assured typographic decisions. We will explore
strategies in making sound typeface selection decisions, and master how
to mix multiple typefaces. We will learn how to address complex
hierarchies. We will also tackle fine-tuning long passages of text, and
explore various methods of building typographic grids.

Participants should have a basic understanding of graphic design
concepts. Some experience in graphic design, and with InDesign, will be
helpful but is not necessary.

A Mac/Windows machine with a recent version of InDesign installed is
required. All classes will be over Zoom in group and one-on-one
settings.

Registration for this class begins September 8. Join our mailing list for announcements and updates.
