Script Lettering

Nothing beats the warmth and personality of script lettering. From formal cursive hands to casual brush styles, it's highly adaptable to scores of design applications. The friendliness and exceptional versatility of the script letter is undoubtedly the reason for its continued appeal.

This two-day workshop will provide a basic overview of script lettering, with a focus on its use in logotype and editorial settings. Referencing various tools, techniques and models, participants will hone their drawing skills as they take a wordmark from concept to completion. Comprehensive slide presentations, demonstrations, skill-building exercises and personal critiques will provide further guidance as students acquire a practical foundation for drawing and implementing script lettering in various design contexts.
